Volnaiskra was founded by think-outside-the-box designer David Bleja. David has worked as an animator, illustrator, UX designer and exhibition designer for film festivals, NGOs, and one of the largest museums in Australia. 

In the mid-2000s, David designed and developed the groundbreaking CO₂ simulation breathingearth.net, which gained worldwide attention and helped millions see environmental impact as something immediate and human.

Volnaiskra has been developing Spryke since 2014, with a no-compromise commitment to excellence. Wherever David cannot do an aspect of the game to an exceptional standard himself, he hires top-notch professionals for the job. As a result, Spryke is one of the most intricately crafted indie games around. And likely the only one about a dimension-hopping cyberfish!

  • Most of Spryke's graphics are made using Photoshop CC 
  • Spryke uses the Clickteam Fusion 2.5 game engine.
  • Spryke's world is richly animated using Toon Boom Harmony Premium and After Effects. 
  • Volnaiskra uses Asana for Project Management
